Furus was one of the first townships in the area to have a high school. S.I. High School & Junior College, Furus was founded as a government initiative in 1938 (pre-independence time) and is still functional. Furus also has a junior college of science. Ideal English High School and Junior College is another institution of higher education. Ideal English School, Furus also has a junior college of commerce. Education is offered in English, Marathi, and Urdu.
